Passionfruit Cupcakes

I have been wanting to try some passionfruit cupcakes for a long time!!!! So FINALLY tonight after making a bacon and egg pie for dinner (and a special pie for Tyra-Jade) I made some!!!!!! I really liked them, the cake was really light and the flavour was just right!!! The cream cheese frosting was scrummy.

The final day on the lil Wilton course is on Thursday. We have to decide on what we want to do with our cakes and complete them in class ready for photos!!!! This course was quite interesting and I learnt a lil bit. Visit on Thursday to see the final result!!

My Cupcake Apron

How cute is this!?!?!? I was about to buy a polka dot apron at Millys yesterday but thought I would have one more look around!! Whew....I found this at K Mart. So not only is it super cute but it was also cheap at $19.95. The oven mitt and double glove were of course seperate, wasn't looking for these but how could I not get them!! And I also bought more cupcake tea towels. I do wish the apron was in pink but you can't have your cupcake and eat it too.........or can you?

Wiltons Course 1 Day 3

Day 3 of the Wilton Course 1 we learnt how to make roses. Quite a hard decoration to do!!!! What do you think? Can you tell they are roses? They are slightly overwhelming on top of a cute cupcake but smaller roses would be gorgeous!!!!!

We also learnt how to make lil faces, another border, some star and drop flowers. And this cute clown!! I can just picture the kids faces if they saw these on a party table!!!! The icing would be gone and we would find all the half eaten cupcakes.

I can't wait for next week when we complete a beautiful cake with all we have learnt. Hmmmmmm, maybe not all. Not sure that a clown sitting next to a pretty rose would look too good...........at least the kids AND adults that get to eat it would be happy though!?!?

Wilton Course 1 Day 2

Look what we have learnt so far on the course!! So much fun. This is my cake I finished after class. Fritz's mum received this for her birthday!! The cake was chocolate and was decorated with vanilla buttercream.

When decorating a cake I trim the top mountain off. Sometimes I throw it out but this one was saved by Payton. Look at his eyes!!!!!!! He decorated the cake with loads of colourful icing!!!!! Yum yum

Mothers Day

Mothers Day was lovely! Hope all the mums were spoilt and relaxed all day. I was spoilt!!! Started off with breakfast in bed and ended with a dinner out with my family. Fritz and the kids got me heaps of Cupcake jewellery, Wii Fit and Snowboarding! And I got my cupcake pj's (yep more)!!!!!!!!!! It was a beautiful day, probably the best one yet!!!

I was up late (or should I say early as I went to bed about 2am) doing cupcakes for Mothers Day. They were enjoyed by all who received them.

My Cupcake Pajamas!!!!!!!!

How exciting is this!!! I went tonight to BNT and got my pajamas!!!! Couldn't wait to get them on. They didn't have my size in the long pants :( but, these are just as cute!!!! (can you see my tea towel!!! No one is allowed to use these to dry dishes!!!!!) Now, I need some cupcake slippers to finish off my bedtime outfit!

Cupcake Princess. Fritz. No I didn't pick it because Fritz entered it!! lol Good thing for me is that because it is Fritz he ain't getting the prize lol, as if he would let me off!!!!!!!!!!

Have I decided on a winner yet?

This is the most common question I am getting at the moment. This and two others, how did the duathlon go and how is your body feeling, lol.

Well, the duathlon was amazing!!!! I felt great after completing it, crossing the finish line was huge!!!!!! I am so addicted to the amazing feeling of achievement I get after completing a duathlon. I recommend doing at least one in your lifetime!!! Trust me, as you cross the finish line you will thank me. I cannot wait to do another! Looking at some runs as well. Fritz has league and touch I have duathlons!!!!!!!!

My body........is fine today! My back is sore but that was the case before the duathlon. However, I am not looking forward to tomorrow! First time round it was the Tuesday that the pain really came. I can't believe that my legs are fine today though. Although I felt way better during the duathlon this time. I must've been better, cut almost 5 min off my time. From 1.20.39 to 1.15.49 wow, with no training. Wonder how much I can cut off with a lil training!?!? Will have to wait and see.

Finally, yes I have made a decision on the name!! I would like to thank EVERYONE who entered!!! I really appreciate the time you all took to enter my competition. It was so much fun reading all the submissions! There were so many great ideas and it was really really hard to decide.
