More Valentines cupcakes - order

More Valentines cupcakes, these are very simple as requested. Ordered for a husband and boyfriend for Valentines. Chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Edible glitter and heart shaped sprinkles decorated these simply delicious cupcakes.

I love you cupcakes - order

Chocolate cupcakes with dark chocolate ganache cupcakes were ordered for someone 'just because'. The hearts on top were made with chocolate. I was told that not all the cupcakes made it back to her husband (I delivered them to her at work), it's the thought that counts!!

Wedding cupcakes - order

These cupcakes were ordered for a small wedding. The two flavours chocolate and vanilla. Chocolate cupcakes were iced with milk chocolate ganache, came out quite light in colour. Vanilla cupcakes had white chocolate ganache. The hearts were made with love from chocolate.

Birthday cakes

This light, fluffy, moist two tier vanilla cake was made for Fritz's Grandma. I was going through a flower period. Really trying to get my flowers perfected. This vanilla cake was iced with vanilla frosting and the flowers were made with vanilla buttercream. Gel was used for the writing and flower centres.

My nana ordered this for her friend Linda's birthday. I made a two tier chocolate cake with ganache in the centre and covering the cake. The white flowers are made with vanilla buttercream and pink cachous. White chocolate was used for the writing.

Valentines cupcakes and cookies - order

An old colleague ordered these for Valentines this year. All she wanted was Valentines themed cupcakes. So this is what I came up with. My children love making biscuits so we put the two together! Chocolate cupcakes with milk chocolate ganache with cute hearts sprinkles and heart shaped biscuits on top.

Baby shower cupcakes

These are the pretty Wilton pedestals. You can turn them over and use them as an icecream cone holder as well!!!

My sister was having a baby shower so of course cupcakes were required. We did not know what she was having so pink and blue were the colours of the day. The cupcakes were light and fluffy vanilla with pink and blue vanilla buttercream. Pretty edible glitter and cachous were sprinked on top to complete these cute cupcakes. A pic of Stacey and Curtis' little princess, Ally.

Give me a name competition

Hello cupcakes,
ok I cannot come up with a catchy name for my cupcakes. I need your help. I have a name I have had in my head for ages but want to see what you can all come up with.

I have decided to do a little competition. Submit all your ideas for the name of my cupcakes. I would prefer the name had 'cupcake' in it. The winner will receive 12 delicious cupcakes of their choice.

The winner must be in Auckland to receive the prize. If you aren't in Auckland you can gift the prize to someone in Auckland or I can hold on to it till you come to Auckland. The competition ends on the 30th of April.

Please help me. I am stuck for ideas. I thought this would be a little bit of fun for us, the three people that have ever looked at my blog and myself. lol So put on your creative hats and submit your ideas. There are no limits to the submissions per person. Just click on the comments button below, type in your entry, have fun and thanks.

Superman cake

Good Morning. Another wonderful school holidays morning!!!
I have always been in to baking cakes, just not like this. I purchased a new Superman cake tin for my nephew (his nickname is Superman) so I can bake him Superman birthday cakes. I thought I should try it out first, not bad for a first attempt. Of course it is chocolate flavoured with buttercream icing. Superman is outlined with black chocolate.

Kiri's creations

I found my love for cupcakes with Kiri and Lis. They showed me Wilton products and I was hooked from there!! The three of us wagged work for a couple of hours while we went to a Cupcake demonstration class at Millys. So worth it, we picked up a few decorating tips and some recipes.

Last year Kiri baked these super gorgeous cupcakes for my birthday. We would usually receive a cake but Kiri knew I would love these!!! She is so clever and covered two of my biggest addictions!!!! Cupcakes and handbags!! They were just as delicious as they look. Light and fluffy vanilla flavour, YUM Thanks Kiri!!!!!!!!!!

Tyra-Jades fairy 5th birthday cupcakes

My daughter turned 5 in Feb. She had a fairy themed birthday at Chipmunks!! We booked it after hours for her and she had a fairy face painter. It was an awesome night and the fairy was well worth it! Even the adults were lining up to be painted.

I made approx 100 cupcakes for the party (still got complaints there wasn't enough) and a little allergy free cake for my little princess. Tyra-Jade is allergic to dairy, eggs, nuts, wheat, gluten, soy, corn and seafood. Quite a challenge to make her cupcakes as good as ours but she inhales them every time, can't be too bad.

The cupcakes were chocolate (the most requested flavour at the moment) with dark chocolate ganache. I tried making butterflies, fairies etc with chocolate for the decorations. I love it when you see everyone checking out the cupcake art!!!

Cars cupcakes and cake for Denzyll

These are the chocolate cupcakes and the cake I made for Denzylls 1st Birthday. I used vanilla buttercream for the coloured icing, chocolate ganache for the cake base and chocolate cream in the middle of the cake. Bit of everything but everyone loved them!!! His theme was Disney Cars and this was my first attempt at doing a 3D cake without a tin!!! Can't see it in the pictures but I had car shaped sprinkles, so cute.

Welcome to Crystals Cupcakes

Hi all, wow this is great. A place for me to display all my cupcake creations. After browsing many other cupcake addicts blogs I decided to create my own. Hopefully I keep it up to date, with all the baking I do it shouldn't be too hard!!

The hardest thing I found getting started was deciding on a name for the blog. For a while now I have been dreaming of having my own business. I had a name picked out, searched the net and thought no one else was using it. Unfortunately after taking the next step I searched again and others are using it. :( I have been brainstorming but cannot come up with anything. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear!! Maybe I can make it a competition, the prize ............ cupcakes of course!!!!!

Well, anyway catch ya all soon. Dinner is over and it is clean up time, YAY
